چکیده
Nowadays, population growth is likely to lead a wide variety of biomass wastes generation from the diversified human, industrial, and agricultural activities. Anaerobic digestion mostly applied manage mitigate huge spectrum environmental damages. This paper aims enhance anaerobic efficiency multicomponent substrates, using mixture waste activated sludge (WAS), olive mill wastewater (OMW), cattle manure (CM). A Response Surface Methodology employed in experimental design determine individual interactive effects on methane yield chemical oxygen demand reduction. After numerical optimization Design Expert®, optimum values test factors actual were as follows: initial pH = 8, COD/N ratio 47, 42, CM/WAS-OMW 0.352, TS 42.94 g/L. The obtained results indicate that co-digestion performance could be achieved by optimising substrate composition assure larger microbial synergistic effect.

متن کاملAssessment of two-phase olive mill solid waste and microalgae co-digestion to improve methane production and process kinetics.
Olive mill solid waste (OMSW) is a pollutant waste coming from olive oil elaboration by the two-phase centrifugation system. OMSW has a high organic matter content and unbalanced carbon to nitrogen (C/N) ratio, 31/1, which avoids obtaining high methane yields in the anaerobic digestion of this waste. In the present study a microalgae, Dunaliella salina, was employed as co-substrate for the OMSW...

In view of the increase in Saccharomyces cerevisiae mannan content, the culture condition for S.cerevisiae were optimized in this study. The influence of culture condition such as original pH, inoculum size, and temperature on mannan production were evaluated using Response surface methodology. The mathematical model was established by the quadratic rotary combination design. with the order of ...
متن کاملAntimicrobial Activity of Olive Mill Waters (Alpechin) and Biotransformed Mill Wastewater Waste- Olive Oil
Olive oil extraction produces a great volume of residue. These olive mill wastes are known as alpechin. This wastewater is a powerful pollutant, resistant to degradation and presents a severe environmental problem related to its high organic content made up largely of simple phenolic compounds, that have been described as being both antimicrobial and phytotoxic. This paper reviews briefly the a...
